Agriculture: Row Sprayer
This row sprayer is used in multiple agriculture applications for applying liquid chemicals for a wide variety of crops. The unique wheel spacing feature allows the operator to hydraulically expand or contract the wheel base so the operator can work in an almost limitless array of crop configurations. This is further enhanced by 4-wheel steering which reduces the turning radius nearly 50% when compared to existing machines. Traction control manages the flow of hydraulic oil to each wheel drive motor, preventing individual wheels from spinning in difficult field conditions.
The four-wheel independent suspension is hydraulically controlled with a 20-inch suspension travel on each wheel which allows the operator to travel faster through the field. Four leveling valves and gas accumulator-cushioned suspension cylinders keep the machine balanced in hard turns, reducing body roll and results in better boom stability. This closed-loop control system from GS Hydraulics includes engine diagnostics via J1939, an integrated display, CAN switch panels and I/O modules to significantly reduce wiring complexity and machine assembly. A custom dash panel completes the “programmable” cab, allowing for smooth control of multiple options or attachments without tedious wiring and aftermarket software modification.
