Municipal: High-Dump Sewer Cleaner

This high-dump truck is used to raise the storage vessel to empty its load into a roll off dumpster. The original version of this machine required a skilled operator to correctly sequence manual controls. The operator was forced to walk around the truck to ensure proper orientation before the next lifting stage or risk significant damage to the machine or a hazardous waste spill.

GS Hydraulics overcame these challenges by integrating an electronic control system that automatically coordinates the functions of the hydraulic system moving the storage vessel. A complete high-dump can be performed with the use of one joystick. Sensors are used to monitor the storage vessel location at all times allowing for damage-free dumping and stowage. Electro-hydraulic proportional valves precisely control the storage vessel motions to reduce shock and increase mechanical life of the lifting structure. The new system configuration results in increased reliability of the machine and greatly reduces the time required to perform a high-dump.
